The Depression Reduction Achieving Wellness (DRAW) program is a campus‐linked project that addresses the first onset of a psychiatric illness in students through collaboration with an institution of higher education.
DRAW provides students with education regarding both the cultivation of wellness approaches and the identification of signs and symptoms of mental illness, short‐term low‐intensity intervention services, referrals to community‐based agencies for more extended or intensive services when needed, and training for college staff on the signs and symptoms of depression.
Mental Health FIRST AID (National Council for Mental Wellbeing)
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.

The Tulare County Suicide Prevention Task Force (SPTF) is fully funded through the Tulare County Mental Health Services Act: Prevention and Early Intervention Plan.
The SPTF functions as a multi-disciplinary collaborative, combining representatives from government, education (DRAW Program), community-based service providers, and community members.
Training, activities, and education are provided throughout our community to increase awareness of the signs and symptoms of suicide risk as well as prevention and early intervention best practices.
